My niece, Marissa McManus, is an exceptionally creative Paper Flower Artist. While she looks beautifully healthy (and she sure is beautiful), you would never know that she quietly suffers from a wide range of debilitating, disabling, and painful afflictions. Among them are Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, POTS, Gastroparesis (going many months at a time with only PICC line or tube feeding and hydration), Reynauds Syndrome, Delta Storage Pool Deficiency, and so much more. Because of hypermobility issues from EDS, she had her shoulders fused as a teen. As a result, she cannot lift her arms. Determined, not defeated, with arms in a virtually frozen position, she painfully works to create the most extraordinarily unique paper flowers. Encouraged to enter her work into art exhibitions, she found that there is a real appreciation for her talent. At her first exhibition, she sold both of her entries --before the show even officially opened! The results have been equally positive in shows that folllowed. So, I wanted to dedicate this space and a featured gallery page to introduce her to you and share her fabulous work with you. Her pieces are individually unique as is her pricing and she can provide ready-made pieces or design custom orders.

You can contact Marissa directly at 267-980-1665.
